Actors - Please submit a professional headshot and resume to our office. Snapshots will be accepted, but please make sure it is a clear photograph with no background clutter. Ages: 4 years and older.

DSE understands that everyone has to start somewhere. If you don't have a resume, please submit your headshot or snapshots with a cover letter including your height, weight, hair color, eye color and general information about yourself. (shirt size, inseam, waist, etc.) Also include your telephone number and email address so that we may contact you.

Unfortunately, no. Only requested submissions will be accepted. You may email us if you have questions. But, do not send photos via email unless we have specifically requested it from you.
DS Entertainment does not return submission packages.
Needless to say, we stay very busy. Once accepted, we will contact you to come in for an interview. Do not call the agency for submission status. If you have not heard from us after four weeks, you may resubmit in 3 months.
We are very selective and will only accept those individuals that we feel are marketable for our agency. We will determine this by your look and experience. If we do call you in for an interview, your personality will become a factor as well.
You can get your headshots made at any photographer of your choice. If you need help finding a photographer, we can direct you to the ones we know do the best jobs for headshots and fashion photography. You do not have to use the photographers we suggest.
Your headshot is your FIRST impression. It's what Casting Directors see FIRST. It's almost the sole factor in determining whether you will be called in for an audition. Your headshot needs to look like YOU. The photo should be UNTOUCHED. Wear your makeup and hair the way you normally would. Casting directors want no surprises when you walk through the door. They expect to see the person in the photo. Model's composites and fashion shots need to be professionally done as well. They need to look fashionable. Let the client see what you look like when you are made up. Several looks are necessary, from casual to glamorous.
Absolutely not. No legitimate agency will charge a fee to be signed with the agency. If an agency ever asks for money to sign, politely say thank you and leave. We are a franchised union agency with SAG and AFTRA and only make a commission from talent bookings.
We are not a school and we do not have classes. We do support workshops when we know the instructor or coach. We only promote those workshops with the intention of educating our talent with the best training to help further their career.

We are exclusive as long as you are signed with the agency. We do not have a set time constraint on our exclusivity. DS Entertainment is an exclusive agency for the entire state of Tennessee.
We represent actors and models from coast to coast. If you are signed with the agency in Nashville, TN or Memphis, TN, you must be able to travel to Nashville or Memphis in the event the audition is in those areas. We prefer to sign talent within a 3 - 4 hour radius of our office locations. Although, we do accept and review talent submissions from all areas.
There are no guarantees in this business. We will submit you for all auditions that fit your profile and/or range. Casting directors will decide if they want you to audition and their client/director/production company will make the decision whether you are right for the role. That is why professional headshots and training are very important. You are competing with seasoned, professional actors.
DS Entertainment represents talent from four years old and up. Children must be able to take direction.
You must have an appointment to meet with an agent. We are busy working on projects/auditions/bookings/etc. You may stop by the agency to bring photos or promo materials Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. You may leave them with the receptionist. If we need more headshots, composites, and/or resumes, we will call or email you immediately. If we have an audition for you or if you are booked, we will call or email you immediately. After signing with DS Entertainment, you will need to check your e-mails frequently. We post upcoming auditions and keep you updated with a monthly Newsletter. All talent must have computer access.
