“Emily Mowry, a native of Houston, Texas, began singing at age 10 in her middle school choir.  By age 12, her parents encouraged her to participate in drama to overcome her shyness and utilize her talent for memorizing and reciting lines from her favorite movies.  She enjoyed participating in school/church plays and musicals until college when she decided to change her career path to medicine.  Several years after graduating with a biomedical engineering degree from Vanderbilt University, Emily revitalized her passion for acting by participating in a singing and drama team that traveled to Chiang Mai, Thailand.  The experience prompted her to change her path back to the performing arts and has enjoyed a passion for film in particular.

Emily holds a second degree black belt in karate and has been practicing and teaching for over ten years.  She has also continued singing in various settings for the past eighteen years.  During her time in Nashville, she has completed three half marathons and still runs for recreation.    

Emily currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee and hopes to eventually make a career in Hollywood.”
